Scientists and volunteers have planted over 1 million seagrass seeds in what has become the world's largest seagrass restoration project. Seagrass meadows capture carbon 35 times faster than rainforests, making them crucial climate allies.
"Seagrass is a superhero in the fight against climate change," said the project lead. "It also creates vital habitat for fish and protects coastlines from erosion."

The restored meadows are already teeming with marine life, with fish populations increasing by 400% in restored areas compared to nearby barren seabeds.
