Technology is giving endangered languages a fighting chance. Mobile apps developed in partnership with Indigenous communities are making it fun and easy for young people to learn their ancestral languages.
"My grandmother is overjoyed that I can now speak to her in our language," said one young learner. "The app made it accessible in a way school never did."

The initiative has been so successful that UNESCO is now funding similar projects for over 50 endangered languages worldwide.
