Every year, thousands of perfectly good musical instruments end up in landfills. But a growing number of UK schemes are giving these instruments — and the children who play them — a second chance.
Volunteers collect, repair, and distribute instruments to schools and families who couldn't otherwise afford them. The programs have already put instruments in the hands of thousands of young musicians.
