India Builds the Largest Single-Site Battery Outside China — in Just 10 Months

The honest perspective is that this is one project in a country still heavily reliant on coal, and turning installed capacity into displaced fossil generation takes grids, planning and time. The developer also has commercial ambitions, with plans for far more storage in the years ahead. But the achievement is real and significant: pairing enormous solar and wind capacity with batteries at this scale shows that emerging economies can leapfrog toward round-the-clock clean power.
