"America Gives" Surpasses 2.5 Million Volunteer Hours as Nation Marks 250th Anniversary

The America250 initiative "America Gives," launched on January 1, 2026, has surpassed 2.5 million volunteer service hours by mid-March, making significant progress toward its goal of making 2026 the largest year of volunteerism in United States history. The milestone was reached as the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary.

For National Volunteer Month in April, America250 has mobilized nonprofit partners across all 50 states, 5 territories, and Washington D.C. with service initiatives ranging from community cleanups and food bank drives to mentoring programs and disaster preparedness workshops.
