In Akron, Ohio, Brandon Scarborough saw a need that no program was adequately addressing: young Black boys growing up without fathers, navigating a world full of obstacles with too few positive male role models. Rather than waiting for someone else to act, Scarborough created Dreams Academy — a mentorship organization that has grown into something far more ambitious.
