The system, called Robin, was built by the research organization FutureHouse. Even with those caveats, the promise is real and grounded. Drug discovery is famously slow and expensive, and many good ideas are never pursued simply because no one had time to connect the dots. Tools like Robin could widen the funnel of testable hypotheses — especially for conditions like dry macular degeneration where patients are still waiting — while leaving the judgment, the experiments and the responsibility where they belong: with human scientists.
