As wind power expands rapidly, a creative solution has emerged for the growing number of decommissioned turbine blades: transform them into tiny homes. Swedish energy company Vattenfall has pioneered this elegant approach.
The massive blades, which can be up to 80 meters long, are being cut and shaped into cozy living spaces. Each turbine can yield multiple housing units, complete with insulation and modern amenities.
“Swedish energy company Vattenfall has pioneered this elegant approach.”
"We're solving two problems at once," said a company spokesperson. "We're giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste, while creating affordable, sustainable housing."
