South Korea shut down the heart of Seoul as K-pop supergroup BTS held their historic comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square, with an estimated 260,000 fans flooding the city's streets and millions more watching live on Netflix across 190 countries.

The scale of the event is staggering. Bloomberg reported that BTS's upcoming world tour, spanning 34 regions and 82 shows, could rival Taylor Swift's $2 billion record-setting Eras Tour in earnings. The tour will extend into 2027 and is set to be the largest K-pop tour in history.

Seoul authorities took extensive safety precautions, deploying approximately 15,000 personnel including 6,700 police officers. The measures reflect lessons learned from the 2022 Itaewon crowd crush tragedy, with concertgoers passing through metal detectors and crowd management systems throughout the venue area.

The reunion has been eagerly anticipated by the global ARMY fanbase. BTS last performed together as a complete group in 2022 before members began enlisting for their mandatory 18-month military service. During the hiatus, individual members pursued solo projects, but the group's return has generated unprecedented excitement.
