A 12-Year-Old Stepped Off the School Bus, Saw Her House on Fire, and Ran In to Save Her Brothers

On Monday, April 7, 2026, 12-year-old Macy Johnson did what she did every school day: she stepped off the bus near her family’s two-story home in the Richmond Hill area of Bryan County, Georgia. But this time, she arrived to a frightening sight—fire breaking out in the garage of the house her family had moved into only a few months earlier.
