A breakthrough in solar desalination technology is bringing affordable clean water to coastal communities worldwide. The system uses only sunlight to remove salt from seawater, with no electricity grid required.
"This could transform life for billions of people living near coastlines but lacking clean water," said the lead engineer. "The technology is simple enough that communities can maintain it themselves."
